The house at 80 Barrie Street was officially named Abramsky House during a ceremony on September 21, 2011, in recognition of the Abramsky family's ongoing commitment to medical education at Â鶹¹ÙÍø's.
The Abramsky family, well known in Kingston for their philanthropy and community support, donated $500,000 to support the new home for the Â鶹¹ÙÍø's School of Medicine.
Abramsky House, fully renovated and attached to the new School of Medicine Building, now serves as the new administrative offices for undergraduate medical studies.
