Â鶹¹ÙÍø

Enija Plavina is a Bachelor of Arts student at Â鶹¹ÙÍø, majoring in Political Studies with a minor in Film and Media. Her service with the Latvian National Armed Forces shaped a lasting interest in international security and armed conflict. On campus, she organizes and hosts events on defence and security issues with the Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Intelligence and Security Society, and balances her studies with competing on the Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Wrestling team.

Her research interests include the security of NATO’s eastern flank and the efforts of hostile states to undermine it, as well as hybrid and unconventional warfare. She is particularly interested in the grey zone below the threshold of open conflict, where tactics such as psychological operations, disinformation and economic coercion are used to achieve strategic goals.

In her free time, Enija trains as a volunteer firefighter, goes on long runs and loves baking.
