Â鶹¹Ù꿉۪s marketing and communications teams play an important role in promoting the university’s teaching and research, engaging students, and building the university’s reputation as a leading institution of learning and discovery.

To support this work, the university is launching a review and redesign of marketing and communications activities in University Relations, faculties, and shared service units. The review will examine what is working well, where there may be opportunities to improve, and how these activities can best support the university's academic mission of excellence in teaching and research.

Why is this review needed?

Much of Â鶹¹ÙÍø's marketing and communications work is organized and delivered within individual faculties and shared service units. The review will help build a clear picture of this work across the institution, understand how activities connect, identify common challenges, and determine where greater coordination or shared approaches could better support the university’s priorities.

The initiative is part of the Â鶹¹Ù꿉۪s Renew Program, a university-wide effort to strengthen professional services so they can provide effective support, operate sustainably over the long term, and advance Â鶹¹Ù꿉۪s academic mission.

Building on existing strengths

An important focus of the review will be to preserve and build on what is already working well while exploring how teams can work together more effectively across the university.

“Â鶹¹Ù꿉۪s marketing and communications teams bring valuable expertise and a deep understanding of the faculties and units they supportâ€ says Michael Fraser, Vice-Principal (University Relations). “This review is an opportunity to build on that expertise, strengthen collaboration across teams, and explore how we can work together most effectively to support Â鶹¹Ù꿉۪s academic mission.â€
